Hey, my name is Bernice Fokum hailing from the small capital city of Springfield, IL. In the past years I have been so blessed to see some amazing places in the world and I am so incredibly anxious to embark on this next adventure of studying abroad in Havana, Cuba! I am a junior right now, studying Anthropology and Global Health Policy and I hope to enter medical school in the near future. Cuba will be a fascinating place to see a rich eclectic culture and to study a world renown health care system. Of course, perfecting my Spanish will be a welcome bonus to the trip--I participated in Princeton in Spain two summers ago and decided that I *needed* to hit Latin America.
